For over 15 years, the Central New Jersey Maternal and Child Health Consortium (CNJMCHC) has worked with organizations in the New Jersey public health delivery system to develop, implement and evaluate programs to improve the health of women, infants, children and families. Some of our most recent projects include the development, implementation and evaluation of a region-wide central intake system for home visiting programs, database development and data analysis of the NJDHSS statewide maternal mortality review program, implementation and evaluation of a childhood obesity prevention program, etc. Among our many projects, CNJMCHC collects and analyzes public health surveillance data from hospitals in the central region to monitor maternal and child health and assess program needs. CNJMCHC is responsible for designing and implementing and evaluating continuous quality improvement activities across the central region hospitals.
